The palmetto mugs are in route to the South Carolina

State Legislators!

Congressman Gresham Barrett, Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator Jim DeMint received a Jane Bess Pottery palmetto mug as shown to the right.

This mug was also presented to S.C. Governor Mark Sanford by the S.C. Heritage Corridor.  It was part of the basket they annually give to the governor.

Local manufacturing plant, Trantech, made a special purchase for a visiting sales rep from Hong Kong.  They selected a beautiful party dip bowl with rope handle and layered green glazes.  Jane Bess Pottery has international status now!

August 2008

Thanks to the Old 96 District Tourism Commission, I received a special order for 10 handmade palmetto pottery mugs that will be given to the South Carolina state legislators.

July 2008

This month I had the rare opportunity of giving back to our American wounded warriors.  At a local banquet honoring 23 American soldiers, I made a small gesture to say "thank you" for their service to our country. I gave them each a handmade pottery star embossed with USA and the ornament had a red, white, and blue patriotic ribbon for them to hang up.  It was a simple act of kindess for me, but for them they were touched that a total stranger would take the time to do this for them. Please remember to say "thank you" to our brave military and veterans.
